What an eventful time we have had this year. Drought then flooding rains and now Easter is upon us. Our thoughts are with our friends and family who have suffered damage from Debbie and hope they are gradually recovering. Our Region has benefited greatly from the much needed rain.
We attended our fourth NBRC Famil Tour last Sunday. This time we went to Gayndah. What a transformation from our first visit to Biggenden. Dry paddocks to an amazing green landscape.
The floods have probably caused a late start to our Tourist season but the vans are already on the road so we have to be ready to welcome them to our beautiful town and region. And it is really beautiful.
Monto Magic Tourism is gearing up for an eventful year ahead.
EASTER CHARITY & CRAFT MARKET – Please note the change of date and venue.
Easter Saturday 15 April at the Lister Street Art Walk at the bottom of the main street. Starting at 8am. Come down and browse though the great selection of stalls on offer. The charity is our own Monto Magic Tourism. The money raised will go towards our Revitalization of the Rail Precinct project. We will also be launching our quality local made souvenirs. These are really good gifts for tourists and locals to share with family and friends. You can still book a stall and if you can spare a short while, we would like some volunteers to give us a hand.
When you come in, take the opportunity to check out our Station beautification project. Barry and his team have done a wonderful job getting this up and running. Our thanks go to the local community for donations of plants, pots etc. We look forward to watching this evolve.
