    4 x 4 Drive Glassford Chimenys Monto Meet Up Things to do in Monto

    Meet up at the post office park Newton st at 9:45am to depart at 10:am. This trip is suitable for 4×4 and is a round trip taking in the smelter site via Monto-Gladstone rd and doing a loop to return via Monal Rd. It has some rough creek crossings and a step climb through the mountains. It is a very scenic drive steeped in History. There is no available toilet stop, sorry Ladies, we will do 1 main stop at the smelter stop where we can enjoy smoko/lunch and allow time to explore the area. Things to bring lunch/smoko, camera and chairs. Please specify if you have a spare seat or if you would need a ride.
