SUMMARY:Unveiling of sculpture
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join The Rex & Monto Magic Tourism Action Group for the unveiling of the public sculpture at the paved crossing in Newton Street.\n 6.30pm.\n\n\nWe mark the close of the Monto Makeover by Rural Aid which began by way of donation to the Monto community of $100 000 from Rural Aid in 2020.\n\n\n\nMany projects were carried out by locals and visiting volunteers.\nMonto Show Society buildings and ring were painted.\nMonto Girl Guides hut was painted.\nMungungo Hall was painted.\nMonto LandCare received assistance with a watering system and plantings.\nMonto Magic made more of rail trail walkable and planted trees at the Railway precinct.\nMonto Museum of modern art received paint and supplies.\nThe Rex reopened the arcade for visitors to experience it once again.\nMany buildings in the Main Street & surrounds received part funding for beautification\, the skate park and Rotary sign got some love and 9 large pots in Newton Street were put in place.\n\n\nThe beautiful laneway is a legacy of this project and complimented by Monto Magic & North Burnett Regional Council Disaster funded murals. Along with Frrr funded silo murals.\n\n\nThanks to all that contributed and made Monto just that bit more beautiful. A special thanks to the funders Rural Aid and Ergon Energy.
