DESCRIPTION:It is our pleasure to extend an invitation from the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Group to the opening of the “All Abilities Rail Trail & Amenities” at Barrimoon Siding\, Barrimoon\, Kalpowar.\n\n\nThanks to the generous funding from the remaining funds of the Bradley Wolf Braeve Heart Association Inc and the co-contribution from the Queensland Government\, the creation of the “All Abilities Rail Trail & Amenities” has been made possible.\n\n\nAlso we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the retaining wall that C.H.Quince scribed his name & date into on the 8/5/1924.\n\n\nWe are excited to announce the opening of a 1km section of rail trail\, specifically designed to provide accessibility to individuals with disabilities\, as well as visitors with prams and mobility aids.\n\n\nThe opening ceremony will take place on Sunday\, 5th May at 2:00 PM at Barrimoon Siding\, Barrimoon Kalpowar. Following the opening\, there will be a cake cutting ceremony at Golembil Siding\, followed by afternoon tea at 3:30 PM.

Arrive after midday on site\, set up your camp or caravan site\, join a tour briefing sessions\, prepare your equipment and settle in. Then join and meet new friends for campsite dinner and entertainment under the stars. \nMeal provided – dinner.  \n4th and 5th May\, Saturday and Sunday \nChoose from 4 tour options that suit your energy levels. Maybe do all of them? \nTour 1:  \nTake a tunnel tour from our base camp in Golembil with an easy climb up to Barrimoon returning back to camp (22km). \nTour 2:  \nFeeling less energetic? Take the shuttle service to the top of the range at Barrimoon and enjoy the views and ride through the tunnels all the way back down to Golembil camp (11km of riding). \nTour 3:  \nFull of beans and ready for a great workout? Ride the full Dawes Range Experience from Golembil to Builyan\, returning back through Golembil up through the tunnels to Barrimoon then returning to base camp (52km). \nTour 4:  \nTake a historical tour from our base camp in Golembil into the Dawes National Park to see the historical Glassford Copper Smelter Site and return to camp (26km). \nMeals provided: breakfast\, lunch and dinner every day. \n6th May\, Monday — depart after midday\nOn Monday\, enjoy breakfast and seize the opportunity for one more ride tour organised by the Gladstone Mountain Bike Club.
