Wuruma Dam is located on the Nogo River approximately 60kms from Monto. The primary purpose is to provide water for farmland and townships along the Burnett River downstream of the dam for 160km. It also provides a tranquil environment for camping which is managed by Sunwater. (See the Sunwater website for further details regarding length of stay ect)
There are limited toilet facilities and dump point for chemical toilets are located in both Monto & Eidsvold. Please note that no treated drinking water is available on the site – so bring plenty of drinking water for your stay.
Fishing, Boating, skiing and other recreational activities are permitted at the dam.
Please keep all pets on a leash or restrained during your stay.
