    Pedal your way through the stunning Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail, a haven for bike riders of all levels. Whether you’re an avid biker, e-biker, or just love a leisurely ride, this trail offers a perfect blend of challenge and scenic beauty, spectacular views, local historical sites and six old railway tunnels through the Dawes Ranges.

    Camp Under the Starlit Sky — at Golembil 4630

    Imagine unwinding in nature’s embrace, far away from cities and traffic underneath a blanket of stars overhead. This temporary, purpose-made camping site is tailor-made for adventure enthusiasts who enjoy unique experiences and relish simplicity.

    4-Day Itinerary — What Awaits You, Scenic Tours and More

    From Friday to Monday, discover the beauty of Boyne Valley as you traverse the trail. Choose from 4 tour options that suit your energy levels and your availability.

    3rd May, Friday afternoon

    n

    Your adventure begins on Friday afternoon. Arrive after midday on site, set up your camp or caravan site, join a tour briefing sessions, prepare your equipment and settle in. Then join and meet new friends for campsite dinner and entertainment under the stars.

    Meal provided – dinner.

    4th and 5th May, Saturday and Sunday 

    n

    Choose from 4 tour options that suit your energy levels. Maybe do all of them?

    Tour 1: 

    n

    Take a tunnel tour from our base camp in Golembil with an easy climb up to Barrimoon returning back to camp (22km).

    n

    Tour 2: 

    n

    Feeling less energetic? Take the shuttle service to the top of the range at Barrimoon and enjoy the views and ride through the tunnels all the way back down to Golembil camp (11km of riding).

    n

    Tour 3: 

    n

    Full of beans and ready for a great workout? Ride the full Dawes Range Experience from Golembil to Builyan, returning back through Golembil up through the tunnels to Barrimoon then returning to base camp (52km).

    Tour 4: 

    n

    Take a historical tour from our base camp in Golembil into the Dawes National Park to see the historical Glassford Copper Smelter Site and return to camp (26km).

    Meals provided: breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

    6th May, Monday — depart after midday

    n

    On Monday, enjoy breakfast and seize the opportunity for one more ride tour organised by the Gladstone Mountain Bike Club. Bid farewell to your newfound friends and make plans of reuniting at the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail adventure weekend in May 2025.
