
Monto’s Colourful Dairy Cows can be found around the township and local villages.
There are 9 cows in total, with 6 currently installed with the other to follow in the near future.
Who Painted them:
- The Girl Guides cow is named Olave and was painted by the girl guides.
- The cow located near the bridge in town is named Susan and was painted by the Monto Youth Group – LiveBetter. Susan is a fabulous and proud LGBT+ bovine
- Jaycee (skate) Park cow was painted by Monto Fire & Circus Performance team.
- St Therese State Primary School cow was painted by the students
- Lions Park cow was painted by Messy Church attendees run by the combined churches of Monto
- Three Moon Historical & Cultural Complex cow was painted by the Monto Art Group – paint donated by the Monto Garden Club.
- Cows soon to be installed at Mulgildie, Monto State Primary schools were painted by the students.

The cows were funded by the Community Benefit Fund through the Monto Festival of 3 Moons. Installation funded by the Australian Government Drought Communities Programme Extension through Monto Magic Tourism Action Group.
